Soloway Coffee Roastery was founded in 2016 by Arthur and Iryna Yuzvik, a young and ambitious couple from the city of Ternopil on the west of Ukraine.
At Soloway, every coffee bean, sourced from distant lands, is treated with utmost care and respect at every stage of production.
The roasting process is carried out using state-of-the-art American Diedrich roasters, complemented by a photoseparator to ensure exceptional bean quality.
Beyond coffee beans, Soloway Roastery offers a range of products, including convenient Drip Packs, a selection of teas, and premium matcha.

As of 2024 Soloway Roastery:
- produces 600 kg of coffee per day
- has 16 team members
- operates a powerful and modern manufacturing facility in Ternopil
- maintains offices in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova
- exports coffee beans to the USA

From Ternopil to Chicago:
The Café Story
In 2012, Iryna and Arthur opened their first café, Karma Coffee, in Ternopil, Ukraine, offering fresh coffee and delicious pastries. After achieving great success and serving thousands of liters of brewed coffee, they opened a second Karma Kava Modern Society location in Ternopil. This time, they expanded their menu to include a variety of breakfasts catering to all tastes.
In 2024, they expanded internationally with the opening of Soloway Café in Chicago, USA. The café serves coffee made with Ukrainian roasted beans from Soloway Roastery, alongside sandwiches and signature desserts. The café has seating for 23, with plans to open a patio expanding seating to 60.

Bridging Coffee Cultures
Soloway Roastery is the first roastery in Ukraine to receive permission to export specialty coffee to the United States. In 2024, we also became distributors of one of the best coffee machine manufacturers, La Marzocco, in the USA.
Additionally, we were featured in the latest episode of Coffee Breath – Episode 4: The One in Chicago. This series explores coffee culture, people, and places, and in this episode, they highlight Soloway Coffee as part of their exploration of the coffee scene in Chicago. We’re proud to be a part of the coffee culture in both Ukraine and the USA!
